University of Guelph MSc CDE program offering new student entrance awards

Date: May 12, 2020

The MSc program in Capacity Development & Extension (MSc CDE) at the University of Guelph is offering a new entrance award of $3000 per student for eligible applicants, starting this September 2020. The program decided to offer these entrance awards to encourage and support graduate students during these unprecedented times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The awards are primarily available for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. The application deadline is May 31st, 2020.

The MSc CDE is an interdisciplinary, dynamic program that is learner-oriented. Students conduct research related to areas such as agricultural leadership, environmental education, knowledge mobilization, rural digital technologies, communication, community activism and innovation.

The program accepts full-time and part-time students. There is opportunity for a very small number of students to transition directly after the first qualifying year of MSc study into the PhD in Rural Studies program, if their advisory support, grades and research funding are secured.

All application details and information about the MSc CDE program can be found at: https://graduatestudies.uoguelph.ca/programs/cde. Students can also directly contact the Coordinator: Professor Al Lauzon (allauzon@uoguelph.ca).
