The International Comparative Rural Policies Studies (ICRPS) consortium is hosting its first-ever Building Rural Prosperity Twitter Conference!
 
The ICRPS consortium is inviting rural development practitioners, researchers, and policy analysts to share their knowledge and comparative rural policy findings through social media. Each presenter will share up to five tweets with the hashtag #ICRPS2021, allowing the audience to follow the hashtag to engage with presenters.

The conference will also be accompanied by a public webinar:
"The Global Pandemic, Rural Impacts: International Perspectives on Rural Responses to COVID-19". On June 15th, 2021 at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (EDT). Moderated by Ryan Gibson, Karen Keaveney and Karen Refsgaard.

Free Webinar: Outlook of Rural Businesses and the Impacts from COVID- 19

In this webinar, Haaris Jafri, Unit Head for the Centre for Special Business Projects (Statistics Canada) and co-author of the report “Outlook of rural businesses and impacts related to COVID-19” will share up-to-date data and the key findings of this study to better understand the impacts of the ongoing pandemic on rural businesses across Canada, with a focus on rural Ontario. The analysis includes a comparison among industry sectors and between rural and urban businesses. The study is based on the results of the Canadian Survey on Business Conditions (CSBC).
