ROI's annual general meeting is happening Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. For 15 years, we’ve been dedicated to developing leaders, informing decision-makers, and connecting communities across rural and northern Ontario. We’re thrilled to welcome Keynote Speaker, Minister Lisa Thompson, as part of this special milestone event.

Meet our Keynote Speaker
The Honourable Lisa Thompson is a Canadian politician who serves as Ontario’s Minister of Rural Affairs. She is a riding member of the Huron-Bruce Legislative Assembly of Ontario and a member of the Progressive Conservative Party since 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph and a graduate of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program Class 6 and the Morris Executive Leadership Program. Lisa was born and raised near Wingham in Huron County, but now calls Bruce County home as she lives near Teeswater on a farm that has been in her husband’s family for 122 years.
