More ways to connect

by Rural Ontario Institute 6. June 2011 10:58

This blog piece is slightly different than the others we have previously posted here.

Today it is all about you - our website subscribers, visitors and friends and how the
Rural Ontario Institute has been listening over the past year (we celebrated our first anniversary on April 1). We have now revamped our website to reflect the information we have been gathering.  Information on how you want to engage; how you want to participate; how you would like to receive information specific to your interests.

With today’s re-launch of
ruralontarioinstitute.ca we are excited to reveal what we have been working on and how it will complement ROI’s mission:  Developing leaders, initiating dialogue, supporting collaboration and promoting action on issues and opportunities facing rural Ontario.

The site has been completely redesigned to provide more ways for you to share information; a place to get all the latest news; and different ways to interact with others who also have a passion for what’s happening in rural Ontario.

There are a number of new features on the website, and we can’t wait for all of you to try them out. And after you do, please let us know what you think!

Here’s a quick glimpse of some of the
new interactive areas:

·         Bulletin Board - post your announcements, share info or seek assistance

·         Events – find out what’s going on and post your own events

·         E-Newsletter – sign up for ROI’s updates
